Sorry if I'm going all German here, but ESPN has Dworaczyk starting at LT:
LINK

It's about halfway down the chat. He said Bonnette told him.

Has he played at LT before? I am a little worried now.

Yup, and it seems they are comfortable with Porter and Alexander coming off the bench too...not sure about the rest. With Dworaczyk now starting, it takes away some of the ability to have versatile depth. Does Hurst back up Dworaczyk, or is Davenport ready?

BUT

Miles was a lineman, Studrawa was a lineman, and Josh D is a senior. Here's an opportunity to step in and be a hero.

Hopefully, we'll be talking about how stupid it was to be skeptical of this move, and the kid is All American.

Lot of people claiming his knee hasn't regained its former strength and perhaps never will. Hope the kid does well. Does he have any historical experience at LT?

This the best option IMO.

yeah, he would slide over for Ciron a couple yrs ago, and he played it in scrimmages this fall.

kinda curious to see what Evan Washington can do, either at T or G.

Surprised Collins didn't get the LT spot and Josh D.move back to guard.

when josh was a freshman, i talked to miles about him and he said he was the most promising young o lineman on the team and had a tackle's body

the following season he started at guard tho

so i dont know if miles was treating me like a media member or if josh just didnt pan out at that position, but hopefully it works out

It's the best option certainly at this point, but I'm sure they will use the next few games to evaluate Alexander getting snaps.

It is not as though he's never played the position, but he has 26 starts at LG, and he's not the starting LG now (not a knock on him, but kudos to La'el for coming on strong). If we needed to plug in a LG, I'd be a lot more comfortable with Josh D. Having said that, the kid has done everything that's been asked of him, received a sixth year of eligiblity and thank G-d we have such a veteran player to call on in this situation. Also, I had forgotten he was called on to play TE as a RSFR.

We're going to find out soon enough if the knee is good.

i think it boils down to the fact that Josh knows every single o line position like the back of his hand

alot of people forget that he was basically the game day o line coach last year

so not only does he have the big game experience but he knows how to play tackle. not that collins cant do it (and in all reality, will likely be our future in that position since he physically would be better) but the kid is a RS freshman thats been practicing guard so probably doesnt know the LT spot as well as Josh

Adequate but not season long solution. IMO Vadal is needed sooner than expected. Step up big boy....
