It's down to ATM and LSU I bet we get him in the end.

saw that on the scroll on ESPN this morning.... well, i'm not sure who doesn't get a spot now, or if we try to make the numbers work taking Gilmore, Williams, Beckwith/Willis, and RSJ, but that's a hell of a way to close a class....
We make the numbers work. RSJ is not a recent option for the staff. They've been on him all year with the full intention of making room for him. Doesn't change the status of any of the others that are at the top of the board(Williams, Beckwith, Gilmore, Willis). Only players it could effect are Skinner and Tahaan Goodman. I'd still like to take Skinner as well but if not then no huge deal. RSJ will end up at TE anyway.

Baylor scared me more than A&M because they had a better basketball angle than us, but with how Miles and his staff, along with Johnny Jones, recruiting him like they are, I can't see us not landing him

yeah, i know....

i'd bet you he won't.... sure, his size leads people to think that way, but he's going to be a WR in college and then the pros.... i'd bet my house on it....

You guys do realize Sumlin has a reputation of slinging the ball around right? Granted our game againt florida reminded me of some of the LSU passing games of recent years. LSU doesn't exactly have a great track record lately of taking Texas QBs and making WRs out of them.

No, we had no idea the former HOUSTON HEAD COACH liked to pass the ball.

Comparing Sheppard and RSJ is just stupid

Yep, I am the dumb aggie on this discussion using logic and all. I know that's confusing to some of you that just make statements with no support of your position. I was just saying why I believe A&M has a really good shot to get the kid.

nope, we don't, but he's a WR playing QB...
and while our track record/offensive playcalling for WR's isn't great right now, our track record for National Championships and putting guys in the NFL is.... if he wants to play big boy football, play for a national title, and get to the league LSU is the only school still on the list that can do that....

That would be logical if he were a qb. He's a wr and would play wr.
Shep just hasn't found a position to play yet, but you can't deny that Miles has given him plenty of chances.

I'm not listening to anyone who likes "sausage" that much.

I would say half the players on our team that are skill guys played QB in High School. Why? Because that's where you put your best athletes. Shep wanted to play QB and his hands aren't good. RSJ is more of a Reuben Randle. Ya know, the guy who is in the NFL even though he had no QB's to get him the ball.

So where does RSJ fit in this class with the openings left??? Does CLM and staff jerk an offer. I have a strange feeling he is LSU bound and Mett stays another year.
