Labor force shrank. Participation rate declined.

It doesn't count those that no longer receive unemployment benefits yet are still unemployed.

If I am reading that right, how do you lose more jobs than you add and still have an unemployment rate that falls?

Well, that's easy to do when the labor participation rate ( the proportion of people at working age that are actually working) drops to about 63.5% (the lowest in a generation).

So almost 4 times as many people gave up on job hunting as found jobs. I wonder what is the average age of those former members of the workforce? How many years do they intend to survive without working?

More people abandon the work force since there is no hope and oly change for the worse in America's future with the empty suit.

So 47% of the American people are unemployed? Is that what that means? Economics is lost on me.
