As evidenced by most of the posts and replies on this board over the last 3 days it seems that people feel LSU will win Saturday but also that UW will test the Tigers. What in your mind do you think Vegas is feeling to favor LSU by almost 4 touchdowns (i.e. home field adv, LSU d-line, LSU premier run game).

That's obvious. Is it our d, or the o that you think is the reason

If I were a betting man, I would take the under on that all day long.

31-17 (with it being 17-14, one way or the other, at half)...

If our young DBs cannot cover the quick out, I would not be surprised in the least if this game is within a touchdown.

We are way better than Washington... Doesnt mean people dont think we need to play better to beat teams like Bama and Arkansas

I think its both...I was being serious with my answer...we are a much better football team.

Our defense isn't going to allow Price to have any time to throw the football. Our defensive line is going to make their offensive line look like a high school team out there. Our secondary is going to lock down the WRs.

Our offense is going to be able to run the ball at will and can choose how many rushing yards they would like to have. Mett should throw the ball for 200+ yards and we will run for another 300+ yards. Look for another 500 yards output from the offense. Their defense is horrendous.

Our special teams are also far superior. We could have another put return for a TD or kick return for a TD. They are going to have to drive the length of the field all night if they want to score because our kick and punt coverage is going to constantly pin them deep.

I could easily see this one 44-20 - UDub's offense is productive - even in their 6 losses (mostly blowouts) last year, they scored almost 30 points a game.

I see us getting up big early, couple of big plays, a long drive and a ST or defensive score and be up 28-10 at the half -THEN give up a drive for a FG in the third, and a drive at the end of the game with our 3rd team in. 24 points is not unreasonable or even insulting.

IF they can score a couple of touchdowns early, they could make it an interesting game into the late 3rd and early 4th quarters, but I cannot see them hanging in against our talent for 60 minutes.

I certainly think that UW will get their yards (kinda like West Virginia last year) but i think Vegas is counting on them not punching it in. Meanwhile, LSU will just pound them in the run game.

Vegas knows that Washington's O-line is porous and their d-line is bad against the run when playing teams that aren't elite, run-first, bruising teams like LSU.

I like all of the replies. I may even bet that LSU covers. I hardly ever bet point spread with LSU, but i really feel they will break UW's will early, and wear them out in the 4th quarter. Something like 44-9.

I agree. I realize Washington has a decent football team and that Keith Price is a good quarterback, but I just think we are going to absolutely dominate this game in every phase. I think this one will look like most of the games last year where we are in the 40's and they are in the teens.

Nice post. The game will be won at the line of scrimmage like most of LSU's victories. I also think a big difference in Game 2 will be Chavis dialing up some pressure.

N Texas was a scrimmage. Imagine if we had played for real: Pound the rock with Blue/Copeland/Hilliard until they stopped it, safeties play smart coverage instead of jumping routes for the highlight reel, and disguise blitzes and have the DL seriously pressure the QB .

That will be on the menu Saturday!
