Bout the same. Decided to build so I could get exactly what I wanted...turned out to be a little more expensive. If you do your research, you can find some good deals online tho

Pretty nice build, I like that gas block. One tip, Any firearm that accepts a magazine looks 1,000,000 times better in photos with the magazine attached, especially on guns with an iconic profile. It looks incomplete otherwise.

hadn't heard of it until I went to Jim's the other day...yankee hill was the cheapest one so that's why i went with it. but it is good quality.

Yhm makes quality shite. I like the diamond fluted barrels.

Gun looks sweet. You should have some fun shooting it. What type of optics did you put on it.

Yankee Hill is still a pretty good brand for ARs - reasonably priced and solidly built.

Sweet AR15! You'll start tearing up some pigs soon.

If you want a decent entry-level red dot sight that won't break the bank, I suggest you look at the Bushnell TRS25. It's about 90 bucks from Cabela's and is very accurate for having no magnification. Then again, anything with magnification will be accurate, although having it zoomed in more makes it tougher to track something fast like a hog.

I stumbled upon Mark's armory online while I was looking for an affordable upper...did a lot of research on them and decided to take the plunge. Upper is practically flawless and the only one that I could find that came with the rail at a reasonable price...$350 isn't bad at all. And I did take it for a test fire the other day before I could get my sights on...you can't just have it sittin right in front of you and not shoot it...she is smooth shootin' for sure.
