Is anyone worried about the fact that we could not get pressure on UNT's QB last night? I couldn't watch the game but listened to it on my iPhone, so what were the defensive calls looking like last night?

Remains to be seen. We batted a lot of balls.

yes, but i don't think we did any stunting or blitzing; it was pure vanilla. i think the chief is trying to find starting LB's and CB's.

North Texas has max protect all night..every route was either a single receiver or 1 deep and 1 flat...

hard to get to a QB when you rush 7 with 8 blocking..

We ran 4-3 all night and didn't disguise blitzes at all, NT did a great job blocking and the qb for NT released the ball quickly most of the time and over threw a lot in the first Half because of pressure...

It is a huge concern unless UNT has an O-line stacked with first team All Americans. They did nothing to very little to pressure the Mean Green QB. Meantime, Mettenberger gets his lights nearly knocked out.

Alabama looked in mid season form against the media, affirmative actions highly overrated M Go Blue. I wonder whether Mingo et al will be able to disrupt the Tide passing game.

As good as our front 4 has been over the years it appears to me our philosophy is not to pressure the qb. We want to stuff the run and force teams to pass. I would love to see more stunts but it's hard to argue with how successful our defense has been.

Loston got out of position on the 80 yd td. Other than that defense was awesome.

Lack of Downfield passing makes it really difficult to get sacks. Not the least bit concerned with the defensive line. They will get theirs.

Nope....E Reid says both plays were his fault..lazy on one and made the wrong call on the other. Both seemed to be related to babysitting new corners and playing an easy team. So no worries. Article

Reid is a leader and is taking responsibility. Doesn't mean loston wasn't out of position on the long td. Watch the replay loston jumps to the outside as ball is thrown taking away his chance to make the play.

Reid got beat on both TDs but only one should have scored.

I agree Bama looked good but they had to be mid season form with a big opener like in Jerry World. LSU was the same way last year if u recall. Unfortunately different prep for different types of schedules.

The second wouldn't have scored either if the ref hadn't set that pick on Mingo.

You are all idiots. Unt philosophy doesn't allow pressure. The unstoppable bammer d from last yr had exactly 0 sacks on this same school.
