Obviously this will be a point of emphasis this week. Any QB would have difficulty with no time to pass.

BE ready for the "Pass protection was fine. It was the playcalling and lack of vertical passing that lost this game."

Agreed. The penetration by North Texas was scary.

I thought the OL was supposed to be one of the strengths? If NT can penetrate it so well what will SEC teams do?

seemed like they were hitting our QB a lot more than we were hitting theirs.

It was not just off the edges, they were coming free up the middle too.

I was agreeing with the OP.

The pass protection was terrible last night. If it's not fixed, THAT'S what's going to kill this offense. Not Miles' boring offense that no one likes.

Mett's pocket presence leaves a lot to be desired as well.
He needs to do a better job of rolling around in the pocket.

I agree completely , NT must have been running the best pass rush schemes ever . Mett got squared up at least three times . That has to get better .

this is what I was thinking too.i was at the game so it's hard to tell but it seemed even stepping up in the pocket or moving a little would help him.

It wasn't just the line. The rbs missed some assignments and mett didn't see some of the blitzes.

He did step up in the pocket nicely on that one really great pass to Wright over the middle.
