It was the typical first game of the year. We have room for improvement, but the time to do it.
Qbs:
Mett: started off a little shaky. He had a few bad throws and got his bell rung, but the thing that jumps out is that in his post game he admitted that when he got layed out was his fault and that he was very disappointed with his interception. The fact that he is willing to admit it and put the blame on himself shows character. In the 2nd half he played very solid and seemed to settle in. We just have to pass downfield some more.

Rivers: nice job handing the ball off and our bball team needs a 2nd big man...

Runningbacks:
Hilliard: 11 yards per carry and 140+ yards..need I say more?
Blue: he put up great numbers also and looked good.
Ford: looked really solid out their
Copeland: Wow he got outside on that one play and juked a guy out. He played very good tonight.

O-Line:
Pass blocking: could have been better, but improved in the 2nd half
Runblocking: very solid

Wide receivers:

Jarvis Landry: will have a big year. He played great 8 catches 92 yards and a great one handed catch.

OBJ3: i think he will have a good year as well. We all know what he is capable of.

Wright: I think he will be a very solid 3rd wr this year for us.

Shep: I want him to have a big year so bad, but he still just doesn't seem natural at receiver. I will say he only had one drop and I hope he gets used this year. They cant give him the ball everytime he's in at rb or he's going to have a long year because everyone knows where the ball is going.

Boone: played good I think he only had 2 catches so we will see, but played solid tonight.

Punt return:

Beckham: he looks great on punt returns so far. Much better then TM7 was at this point last year. Hope he closes the year how Mathieu did.. Just be sure to take care of the ball.

Punting:

Keenam (sp): i was very impressed at him getting his first punt off. Not to mention it was his first snap ever in college. Played good.

Safeties:

Reid: great interception, but was disappointed in his coverage at times and he needs to get his head around when he is in coverage. I'm not concerned at all over him. He'll be fine.

Loston: not horrible, but didn't look 100 percent and is still leading with his head at times. Hope he stays healthy.

Didn't pay much attention to the other safeties.

Corner back:

Simon: seems so tall and long for a corner which is a good thing. He played great, did they even throw his way really? Hope he falls in place like Mo did for PP7. I think he'll be very good this year. He's a great athlete.

Mills: I think he'll take his lumps because opposing teams will test him for sure, but the talent is their. He played very solid and was right there with receivers. He just seems weak in run support and he has to get his head around, but he's got a bright future for sure.

Linebackers:

Kevin Minter: he looks big. He played solid and I think he will only get better as the year goes on. Good in run support.

Luke Muncie: he held his own and looks like a linebacker with that long blonde hair.

Lamin Barrow: I was very impressed at how Barrow played before he got shook up, after that I didn't notice him as much. I think he will be good for us...can't be worse than Hatcher was.

DEBO JONES: Debo looks like he'll be very good for us. He got a tackle for loss right when he came in for Barrow. I'm really excited about him.

Ronnie Feist: i believe he played when Minter came out, but not positive it was him. He looked alright. Again the future is bright at linebacker.

Kwon Alexander: i know he played and I think got in on a couple tackles, but didn't jump out to me. That doesn't mean he didn't play well I just didn't notice him watching it live at the stadium. Another true freshman.

D-Line:

Mingo: he looks really thin, but super fast. He played very well tonight, but wish we could have got more pressure on the qb. He played great though and I think he'll have a awesome year.

Montgomery: you can see he gained some weight. I was a little disappointed in his play tonight. I was expecting him to be unblockable, but I think he'll be fine.

Freak: looked really good in my opinion and will have a good year.

Logan: he played solid

Lavar Edwards: the one tackle for a loss really jumps out to me.

Downs: he played good, but I'm starting to draw a blank on everyone on the D-Line.

I know I left out a lot of players and was very vague on some, but I just don't remember everything and haven't watched it on tv yet.

Defense is where we aren't quite as good Imo. Losing Mathieu, Mo, and Brandon Taylor is tough. Big shoes to fill, but we'll be ok. Outside the 80 yard pass they looked good.

Lots of young talent especially at linebacker.

I couldn't read all that, but I wanna help you out.

Their-meaning it belongs to them.
ex-The ball is theirs.
There-a location opposite here.
ex-He played well back there.
They're-A contraction for 'they are'.
ex-They're going to respond thusly...tl;dr.

Yeah yeah. Its late and I got tired of doing it so I'm sure I have many many mistakes. I did make an A in my first english at LSU. also I typed all this on my phone so it's probably really bad.

Well it is pretty easy to get an A in English since MS word notifies you of spelling and grammar mistakes.

Sigh to all the spell checkers here. Why don't we just give you admin spell correction abilities and be done with it.

Agree with this. I never hated on JJ, but he never owned his mistakes.

So, in summary, everyone looked fine, solid, will have a great year and you are not worried about anyone?

There is only one version of your. Your is a possessive pronoun. You're is a contraction for you are.
