Just a FYI. We were watching the estimated restoration time data online closely as it moved up, then back. We were also calling the home line to see if the answering machine picked up (meaning the power was back on). Finally, the power came back on despite the fact that the estimated time was about 12 hours away. Cleco. Just saying, if you're waiting to get power back on, try not to rely solely on the online data.

They always undersell. After Gustav I was told three weeks. After two weeks I had power.

I can understand them overstating the time, but in this case it was flat out wrong. Luckily, we were waiting in a good setup with power, but I'd hate to think of those in a not so good position with power on but thinking it was still off.
