Great post. Glad to see you really worked on it and thought it needed its own thread.

elprez00 is getting paid really well to represent Entergy on here. You better come with better info that that.

Yes I don't understand how it works, but I have jogged and biked all over my area of town and the power line damage is very minimal.

Actually, I dont work for Entergy, but I have a good number of family and friends that do, and I know how the power industry works through a lot of personal experience.

What I cant stand is people that bitch because they are mildly uncomfortable after a storm that truly do not know what they are talking about. Plus, its my family and friends who are working around the clock right now trying to get your lights back on.

Im glad you think your lines are not damaged. Do you know specifically how to identify damage? While there may not be any damage close to you, the issue could be miles away from you.

I dont know shite about medicine, so I don't tell my doctor hes doing it wrong. If you dont know shite about electricity, dont tell the power company they are doing it wrong.

You're holding on too tight Cougar. Reasonable people whose experience on the ground may differ from what you know to be the usual approach may have a reason to complain. You don't know that there hasn't been mis-management just as they don't know about the ins and outs of the profession.

Entergy sells power, the longer you don't have it the more money they lose. They want you to have power its not a conspiracy against you.

Honore' was the hero of Katrina. I truly believe Entergy workers have been the hero of this storm.

Billy Nungesser basically just told John young to go frick himself on WWL. It was great

Wanting to have it restored and mis-managing the restoration are two completely unrelated topics.

I feel you pain elprez. My parents are both postal executives and i always feel like i have to defend that institution.

But damn it is hot, but i got bored and followed the lines and found a down pole. So it may be a while before I'm back up.

/hijack because I have to:
What exactly could you possibly say to defend that complete clusterfrick? They are losing $25million/day of taxpayer money

He's smart enough to know that he is using this platform for political gain. Politicians as a whole are worthless.

He's just saying what everyone is thinking. That's what he's elected for

Have you been getting the PR phone calls too, telling you how hard they're working to get the lines up again? I've gotten 2 so far, and we never lost power.

Blame your Congressman, if you don't know what I'm taking about research it. The post office could very easily return to profitability.

Not going into this here, look me up when i have power and I'll go into it further.
