Just in and out of Grand Isle.

Island looks GREAT. Very little debris. Looks like water simply came up and went down.

They are letting people past Fourchon at about 20 cars at a time.

LA1 is washed out about 10 times on the west side for about 3 miles just past Fourchon making it 1 lane only.

I didn't even lose my boat that we left on the boat lift 3' above the water.

Ditto. Saw the water up to the rooftop of Bridgeside, so I was nervous. Anything on the Fourchon area? Someone talked to Chris Moran and he apparently came through pretty good.

Any idea how high above ground level the water got?

Isnt bridgeside raised about 15 ft in the air now. The "rooftop" would be about 25 feet above the parking lot.

At our camp in Chenie (on the bayou), the water line was about 2 1/2 to 3 feet.

The one on the island (middle of island in both legnth and width) probably got less than 1 foot.

Bridgeside was closed yet dry. Didn't see a water line on the bldg, did see the picture.

I think most who go to check will be happy.

Took me over an hour to get onto the toll bridge on the way back. DOTD was already building the foundation for the LA1 washout areas.

Water was barely over the docks at Bridgeside.

There is a water tower near the community center that was being replaced. It was there last Sunday. I will have to check on that.
