I know he is a Tech commit. Did LSU ever look at him? Was at the game tonight he is very impressive. He is real quick for his size (6'4" - 240-250). He had half a dozen sacks.

They looked at him at one of the summer camps and decided not to offer. I was wondering if he has the frame to bulk up into a DT, and if so, would LSU consider him if other options (Gilmore) fell through. But looks like perhaps not.

I think DT is the plan if we have to go that route. He was quite impressive at camp according to Sonny and Shea. We've just got numbers issues and higher kids on the board. If we have a spot, I'd have no issue if we took a chance on him. Suprised he doesn't have other SEC/BCS schools after him. The kid from OP Walker as well. Both kids have some nice talent imo.

He had an offer from Miss St. They've been doing a pretty good job at scouting talented defensive linemen.

You're right. I thought they had the 3rd best DL in the SEC last year and that's no slight at all considering the DLs that we and USCe had. They should continue to have good DLs as well. I don't know who their DL coach is but I'm impressed with him. Maybe Bundy or one of those guys can inform us who he is.

Same here. Chris Wilson, their D coordinator, is their D line coach, which is the reason for their success. He's done a great job in a short time, probably going to be one of the top coordinators in college football. They could have a top 10 defense this year.

As a north desoto alum that was there when we sucked it's pretty cool having players mentioned on the recruiting board.

Go griffins.

ND's only LSU player so far is Casey Howard back in the mid 90s

And they will recruit even better now that Tim Brewster is there. I wouldve loved for Les to have replaced Ensminger with Brewster two years ago. Im sure we could eventually outbid MSU though.

A thread about him I didn't start!! They took a long look and him at DE and TE. They just have the pick of the crop this year. He's a great kid and if it wasn't this year I feel like he has the talent to play at LSU.

I do know he is really happy going to tech. He's a country boy and will get to play early there.

I knew there was a Gray guy on here but wasn't sure who. Now I remember. Good luck to the kid

Thanks for all the info. He was really impressive. I don't think he has the frame for DT. He is built more like Sam Montgomery. Has that same burst too. Someone is going to be thrilled with him.
