Had grilled grouper with asparagus at Tommy's Fish House for lunch today, and it was really good. Cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Definitely fresh. And I know I will get slammed, but Bonefish Grill actually does some good fish and offers more of a selection than almost anyone in town.

If you want grilled fish and aren't looking for a heavy cream sauce on top of it, Bonefish is a very good option. I don't always like the lighter sauces they serve, but they pretty much always grill the fish to perfection and have a pretty good variety of fish to choose from like you said.

I almost forgot. French Market Bistro usually has a fish special in the $25 range that is one of the better deals in town IMO.

Thank you!!

We skipped the obvious (RL) and went to Beausoliel. It did not disappoint.

Had a French 75 to get things kicked off.

Also had: Steamed mussels Provençal with frites and saffron aioli

Tonight's special was black drum. It was prepared thusly:

Sautéed Gulf fish, caramelized fennel, grilled artichoke, mint and crabmeat, brown butter vinaigrette

And: Shredded Rabbit with spaetzle, carrots, peas, goat cheese, seasonal mushrooms in a Dijon cream sauce

Thanks Fro! Really good rec. Ready for kickoff tomorrow!!!

For as grammatically correct as your post was, I'm surprised you omitted the diaeresis in the word spätzle. But then again it may be Germans.

A. Because I suck at the interwebz so much. Hell, it is only with great difficulty that I deploy a tilde.

B. Because I've never fully grasped the difference between an umlaut and a diaeresis or the difference between a diaeresis and a a diuresis.

C. Such are the perils of copying and pasting from a restaurant menu.
