That sucks for those people. Feel for them. I'm looking at elevations from around there and their backside levees are only 7-10, whereas neighboring St. Bernard is at ~17. Not pointing fingers or blaming or anything, just stating an observation.

So sorry for those people.

I know that in my area when Rita put 4 ft of water into homes & business, the people just gutted the walls and put up new panelling with a chair rail. What will be done to these homes where the waterline is up to the roof? Thats gotta be 8-10 feet of water level!
