Any word in how the island fared yet.

I have not heard a thing since I saw Dean Blanchard on CNN just before landfall.

Hoping for good news fearing the worst

My buddy has a camp down there and he had about 10 pictures he showed me yesterday. The whole island looked like it was basically under water. That conoco gas station in the middle of the island had its gas pumps under water. Bridgeside had 6-8 ft of water too. Looked pretty bad.

The integrity of the road is sketchy right now. They fear that on the surface it appears safe but underneath it will be water. This is from Fourchon to GI.

Down the bayou from Larose to Golden meadow some places have power others do not. Lots of down lines.

I live in Lockport and there are numerous lines down all along Hwys 308 and 1. Might be a while before Grand Isle is ready to go.
