I live by cleary and w. Metairie. My power came on thirty minutes after I left to sleep at a buddys house in luling. I didnt find that out until this morning.

Btw I saw 3 people steamroll through dead powerlines last night. Be really careful. Also be mindful of your highbeams.

I have an Ooma VOIP telephone at my house, so I just dialed my house every hour or so. If it started ringing, I'd know I got power. Without power (and subsequent internet access), there was a voicemail message right away.
This is assuming my Cox service worked, but it was confirmed working two blocks away.

A lot of Lakeview is still out. Somehow I'm in a patch that only lost it for a few hours on Wednesday. But the block across the street from me is still out. Completely random it seems.
