Just called my house in Audubon Terrace (neighborhood by St. George) and the answering machine picked up, indicating that I have power. Had to have come back on between 10 PM and now. Entergy is getting it done, unlike what some threads are implying.

10+ Entergy/Contract trucks just went past on Hyacinth toward Stanford. They must have just finished breakfast.

Out: 11 pm Tuesday
Back up: 7 pm yesterday
Out again: 7:01 yesterday
Location: Southdowns

Not a single frick was given by Entergy since it went out again yesterday. I have a terrible feeling it is going to be a while....

i understand there was some major transformer damage in the southdowns area .. probably as they are restoring, they are finding the damage and having to shut it down in certain grids .. sorry you are going through that .. i know it is frustrating ..

Southdowns - got mine back on yesterday around 11am, other parts along hyacinth don't appear to have their's back yet.

Shenandoah along Tiger Bend - got their's around 2am last night.

That's all I know.

I don't understand this mindset. Entergy has a lot to deal with. Life could be worse--you could be living in Plaquemines Parish.

I still don't have power in Capital Heights.

The Entergy map still has a lot of red (outage areas) on it. Uncheck the "Location Status" box on the right hand side of the page to see the streets in red.
