Still no one from Entergy in my hood. The power went off as soon as the weather calmed down around 10 last night. There are no trees on power lines in the entire neighborhood

Enetergy did tweet saying just because you can't see them, it doesn't mean they aren't working to turn on the power.

you people don't realize they are losing money when the meters arent spinning. to think they are not trying their hardest to restore power is just ignorant

they are working 16 HR shifts. In nola they restored 25K homes in 5 hours this morning.

not every outage is the same. If a power line fell or a circuit board blew up, its not just flipping a switch.

Just because you can't see Bigfoot doesn't mean he's not out there rubbing one out against a Willow Tree either.

based on my past experiences with Entergy I can only assume that this is SOP.

I think the real issue is priority. obviously our areas aren't very prioritized. Mine went out Tuesday afternoon. They obviously didn't give a crap. Storm started the next evening.

Like I said their customer service and ability to communicate what they are doing is sub par.

Does not compute.

You are 1 in about 50,000 people who have called today asking about power. You aren't going to die, chill the frick out

I can't speak for others but my situation just doesn't make much sense to me. I'm not on fb because it makes me hate people more than I already do. Ha

that happened to me during Katrina....was explained to me that sometimes they need to shut some off in order for it to be safe to fix others.

Do you really think this is their concern? I'm sure they are doing every thing they can do to get power restored. Maybe they should write you a personal email.

I'm sure the strip clubs downtown have power.

Lester, you are right. My best friend is a pole man for entergy. He gets Phone calls all the time from ignorant assholes saying come fix my power. If they can repair two transformers and put back 5000 people online, it would be better than one transformer with 1000. I believe those lineman are only allowed to work 16 hours a day. The few I know would try and work more to help these ignorant assholes have electricity so they can have Internet to badmouth the "entergy" that never helps them. :endofrant:

I guess. Still strange to get it back though for so long only to have it shut off and then come back hours later but only half the complex.

Is this one of those threads where we're just supposed to chime in and call the OP a bitch, or does anybody actually have anything informative?
