Had my draft the other night and drafted at the #11 spot. All of the premium rb's and qb's went early so i adjusted my draft strategy and went with what was the best available on the board versus freaking out and filling positions.

12 Team PPR league
Draft results in order were:
Jimmy Graham
Matt Stafford
Hakeem Nicks
Antonio Brown
Dwayne Bowe
Desean Jackson
Deangelo Williams
Peyton Hillis
David Wilson
Kendall Wright
Rashad Jennings
LeGarrette Blount
Ruben Randle
Malcolm Floyd
LaMichael James
Bernard Pierce
Buff D
Vick Ballard
Garrett Hartley

From the looks of it i will have to start either Hillis, Williams, and pray i can get some run out of Jennings w/ the MJD holdout. Also will be praying that Bradshaw breaks down early so i can use Wilson. Any opinions if i should stay put and see how things pan out the first few weeks or make some moves?

Keep Graham, Stafford, and Nicks, then see if anyone will trade you a decent running back for the rest of your team.

Very limited upside with that team. I'd try to trade Bowe and or D. Jackson for a low tier established back (Bradshaw? McGahee?)

You waited until the 7th round to draft a RB? I've never seen that in all my years of FF.

You should've "freaked out" about the 3rd. Find someone who needs a WR and trade.. post haste.

so if everyone went RB earlier then you should be STAAAACKED at WR. lets see.

Jimmy Graham - hmm.
Matt Stafford - i can live with this.
Hakeem Nicks - good value here
Antonio Brown - seen him go later
Dwayne Bowe - seen him go later
Desean Jackson - terrible decision at this point
Deangelo Williams - RBBC
Peyton Hillis - RBBC
David Wilson - backup
Kendall Wright - why?
Rashad Jennings - good choice
LeGarrette Blount - could work out
Ruben Randle - k
Malcolm Floyd - k
LaMichael James - why?
Bernard Pierce - who?
Buff D
Vick Ballard
Garrett Hartley

if that league went SO HARD at Rb's, then you should have better wr's. for instance my league always goes out hard for RB's, so i adjusted for it. my draft went:

Megatron
AP
Julio Jones
Hakeem Nicks
Hernandez
Ridley
Romo
.
.
.
.
.

i have always been "that guy" who drafts rb's rounds 1 and 2. There was literally no one there that i felt comfortable drafting w/ my first few picks. It seems there was a cloud of uncertainty around all of them

So which one would you try to deal? Thinking of packaging rashad jennings/wr to the MJD owner. He has Jamal Charles but i am not sure i can put together a deal for him w/o shooting myself in the foot.

Terrible draft for me! I didn't get a chance to "study up on much". The rookie picks were a roll of the dice hoping that one pans out ala 2011

in hindsight i totally agree but i did use my first 2 picks on te and qb

btw
Hillis- Banking on him getting the majority of the carries since Jamal Charles only got 10-15 carries even when healthy

D Williams-Upside for a top 10 back if stewart goes down (which he is already banged up)

Bernard Pierce- is a handcuff to Ray Rice

David Wilson/Ahmad Bradshaw- are in a timeshare
and Bradshaw is a China Doll

LaMichael James- frick if i know , he is a playmaker

Just giving my rationale for my dumb decisions.

Play Rashad in the first week, and after he has explosive numbers with MJD out, you can use him as trade bait for a better RB later on.

I think David Wilson is gonna be legit; he and Gresham are 2 guys i'm relying on this year on my team
