If their outage map is any indication, fairly extensive.

63% of DEMCO's customers in EBRP have their power ..

LINK

it looks bad, but it could be a LOT worse than this .. both DEMCO and Entergy put a lot of work into the BR power grids after Gustav and there was a lot of tree trimming done too around power lines .. i think the entire parish will be back up and running by the weekend ...

we lost power around 1PM yesterday and DEMCO had it restored before 8PM .. they went out late yesterday afternoon and started working .. you will see that DEMCO map improve drastically by the end of today ..

Our power in Southdowns was out from 11am-7pm. Came back on at 7, and as soon as the wind stopped at 9, it went out again for some reason. My guess is somebody, not something, fricked it up

power grids are goofy and tricky .. one little issue like a big branch falling can take out 100 houses .. technology today is such that the power companies can find that right away, where in the past they just had to ride up and down the line ..

I've driven around the city half the morning since about 6AM. 0 Entergy trucks on the ground. 0. They've pretty much quartered off Bluebonnet across Perkins and said F it. See you on Tuesday.

So has anyone seen Entergy people working? None in my hood. They were busy sleeping in their trucks and drinking coffee at the gas station

Just drove from CCL to LSU area. Power on and off sporadically. Zero entergy trucks out.
Chevron across from Blue Bayou was open at 7am and accepting credit cards.

50 mph and < they will usually stay off roads, but <50 mph they will allow workers to begin putting power back on. In other words, their arse ought to be working around the city.

No power in capital heights. Been out since 11am yesterday. I haven't seen one Entergy truck yet.
