Left my 40' park model RV at my beach property in Cameron Parish (8 mi. West of Holly Beach). Just checked the Calcasieu Pass weather, 24 kts. gusting to 29 from N, water was 2 1/2 ft. at high tide couple hours ago. Did I make the right call?

Pic from inside the RV.

I used to catch alot of trout and reds in the surf, but the water has been shite all summer. Have to have very calm seas, or it gets stirred up easily.

And yes, it's insured, but I don't want to have to replace it! Although I'd probably get more than I paid for it. Bought it one year old, short sell from a bank. It's got 2 bedrooms, 3 slides, full size fridge. Great camp/ RV, Jayco Bungalow.

Not a problem at all. I'm in Big Lake. I hope it stays safe for your RV, wind is picking up now.

Just talked to a guy that lives down the street from my RV. Said it's a little windy from the North (Calcasieu buoy says 28kts, gusts to 33) but the gulf is calm. says there's shrimp boats out in front the beach!
