How long do you boil your crabs?

I go @ 8 to 10 minutes, and then soak another 20 or more until they taste right.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a related question. I have some crab meat in the freezer...if I make a seafood gumbo this weekend can I subsequently freeze the gumbo? I'm thinking 'no'....

You can, but the seafood won't be as fresh. Try adding seafood to the portion you wish to eat, and freeze the rest. Then, reheat later and add additional fresh seafood.
