Not many do anymore and its a big reason nascar sucks now. Nascar needs more ward burtons.

I would say the majority of nascar drivers don't have a southern accent. However, Ward Burton would win the best accent contest hands down.

Well Gordon's from California, Matt Kenseth is from Wisconsin, not everyone from Nascar is from Alabama, you know.

Tony Stewart is from Indiana. Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick are from California. Carl Edwards is from Missouri (Columbia, not, Branson). Casey Kahne is from Washington. Martin Truex Jr. Is from New Jersey.

yep this isn't our daddy's nascar. there are alot of drivers from north of the mason dixon line these days.

Considering it's called a "redneck sport" and there are as many races in New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, and Delaware as there are in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and Texas.........
And there are ZERO races in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. They've raced in Kentucky for two years. And is there a race in South Carolina?

i greatly dislike what nascar has become. the "corporatization" of the series has led to these 1.5 mile cookie cutter tracks and crappy racing.
