LSU needs to take a look at this kid. He's a four star Texas A&M commit, but hopes to get an offer from LSU.

Carthage 6-2, 315-pound defensive tackle Isaiah Golden has been committed to Texas A&M for months, but said Friday morning that another program interests him. “Yeah, I’m pretty solid (to Texas A&M),” Golden said, but added, “I’d take a visit to LSU.” Golden has yet to receive an LSU offer, although he already holds offers from the Aggies, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and TCU. Golden competed in the Rivals Five-Star Challenge in Atlanta, Ga., earlier this summer and weighed 333 pounds there, but said he has since lost weight and gotten back down to his preferred playing weight of 315.

Josh Boutte picked this guy up and body slammed him several times at the Rivals Challenge .... not sure hes that great as advertised. Thought he struggled against good competition.

Another perspective could be that Josh Boutte had to illegally hold him several times in order to block him at the Rivals challenge.

Plus Boutte is a flat stud. La'el Collins put down Clowney a few times at the Army All-America game. Doesn't mean Clowney wasn't great, just means he got beat by another great player a few times.

And take anything that linemen do out of pads with a HUGE grain of salt.

Yeah but watch the video I posted Golden gets dominated by everyone he went against .... In some matchups it looks like he just quits after he knows he been beat.

Im not saying the kid is terrible but Im not sure hes a good as his lofty ranking says he is.

With the complete lack of depth that A&M has at DT, this flip would implode their recruitniks.

In an interview a few months back he was really excited about playing LSU. That was the " One school I really want to beat".

I will try to catch one of his games since he is playing better football now that he is in Carthage.

Meh. Gilmore is better and more of the style LSU rolls with.

Golden was high on us early and then committed TAMU. I haven't been that impressed with him personally. He's huge. LSU isn't successful with huge DTs...

Look at our recent history with big DTs. Davenport moved to oline and Woods was a disappointment. Golden is like 330lbs. Doesn't really fit the scheme Chavis likes to keep...

Only way we would offer Golden is if we whiffed on Gilmore which won't happen AND then we offer Crayton and that doesn't happen.

Basically, not going to happen

The replays will be great at his home games.
