Man shoots him self in leg going into BR gun store

BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies said a man accidentally shot themselves in the leg outside a firearms store this afternoon in Baton Rouge.

Spokesperson Casey Rayborn Hicks said the man was bringing his weapon in for a gunsmith at the store on Siegen to inspect.

Hicks said he was putting the gun in his pocket when it discharged, hitting him in the leg. She said the injury was a flesh wound, and not life-threatening.
