Need recommendations for The Londoner

May be going to the Londoner for the first time tonight. Any suggestions on what to get or what to avoid?

I went there a couple of weeks ago and will never go back. We never got our food and after an hour in a half, we finally asked for our check so we could leave.

I never liked anything I had, but they did change the menu recently, so maybe it's better

Avoid crowded times, they have no clue how to handle them.

They have a pretty decent beer line up. Have a few and then food is always better.

Also, avoid saturdays at 2. They don't know how to handle that either. It wasn't crowded at all, but apparently, they scheduled 2 servers, and 3 door bitches. It took us 2 hours to get in and out. The waittress covered the entire backroom, so i can't fault her. I fault the shitty owners for not scheduling their employees.
We ordered beers, didn't get them until 30 minutes later. Nice and warm too. I like the place, but the service is shite.

It appears the consensus is go somewhere else. Any recommendations. The kids are going to be at a function for a couple of hours and wife and I were looking for somehwere to go. We chose The Londoner because it seemed different from what we normally do. Figured we could grab some pints, eat something different, maybe play darts or something.

That's been my overall experience with the place, unless I'm at the bar.

Not that I'm defending the place at all because it has always sucked for me too, but most restaurants downsize dramatically between 2-5. Especially one that size. Several go down to 2 servers and they just alternate tables.
Not sure why they had 3 hostesses though.

Last time I was in there I watched my server. She had 3 tables. She wasn't "too" busy. She'd walk in to the kitchen and come back out 5 minutes later. A server should never need to be in the kitchen for 5 minutes especially while drinks are sitting on the service bar.
Similar experiences at happy hour, mid afternoon, and around 9.

1) Sit down and wait 10 minutes for anybody to even acknowledge us.
2) Waitress takes our drink orders.
3) Wait 15 minutes for our drink orders and then order our food. We both got Shepard's Pie.
4) After another 20 minutes we order another drink.
5) Wait 15 minutes again for our drinks. I order another drink right away so I won't be dry for that long again.
6) Wait another 15 minutes for my other drink to get to the table. Waitress said she will check on our food.
7) Another 15 minutes go by and still no food. Waitress again said she will check on our food.
8) A table that came in about an hour after us is getting their food now and I see at least two shepard's pies on the table. Our waitress was also their waitress. I ask her why she gave them their Shepard's pie and we have been here waiting for over an hour. She said it was part of their ticket. I ask for our ticket so we can just leave.
Horrible experience and will never be back.
