This looks like a total witchhunt, but the USADA must have something. Why would a completely innocent person throw in the towel now, after fighting allegations for all these years?

I guess He has spent so much time and money on this that he's had enough

bullshite.

The ncaa learns their ludicrious behavior from the USADA.

Lance is still the best ever.

Perhaps, but he even said himself he's been dealing with allegations since '99. He vociferously fought against every one that came his way. But 13 years later he gives up? Has the stress only now taken the toll he claims?

I guess I don't understand why he's "had enough" only now, especially if he's done nothing wrong this entire time.

its all heresy and UCI is the sanction body not usada, usada is a not for profit witch hunt outfit with a 1800 snitch line where you can turn anyone in and remain anonymous and they still dont have any positive tests. The UCI already said they were not going to act on usada information. So until UCI says he is stripped he is not.

Wouldnt you? 13 years is a long time, its time to move on. Its just sad to see this dragged on the way it has.

I don't think they actually have the authority to take his titles away

Yes Lance was associated with people like BALCO, Dr Michele Ferrari for one.

I love how people just blindly defended him because he had cancer, and you can't criticize him because he had cancer. And he obviously bused the shite out of that trust.

Surviving cancer does not give you immunity from being a dick, and karma finally caught up with him.

It says he's banned from cycling, but is he also banned from triathlon? Before this whole thing he was poised to be a serious contender in Kona

This was good news to hear. What a pompous a-hole. My friend's brother was on the US cycling team with Armstrong and they hate that mother fricker. I got the joy of breaking this news to him too.

This is bullshite man. Just for that quote they take all titles from him? I don't really doubt he was roiding it up, but don't you need more evidence than that to do something as drastic as this?

It's been a witch hunt for over a decade, but there is way too much smoke here. I'm glad we don't have to hear about this story anymore.

From what I read on another site, WTC (the company that owns the Ironman branded triathlons) will honor the ban as they are a signatory of USADA. Meaning he can't even race as an age grouper, much less as a professional.

I was looking forward to seeing him in Kona, win or lose his popularity would have brought a lot of tv watchers to the Kona broadcast.
