Who makes the best, and who do you think wins the meat patty bun war?

Nothing in BR really comes close except Curbside, but I still find BooKoo, Cowbel, High Hat and Company to be better than Curbside.

Also BR does not have near the options and Burgersmith is pretty bad and Rauol's went to crap.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. It has so little texture. Just one big pile of mush.

Not a fan at all.

Curbside rivals the best and pimanyolis classic is very good. Tramontes is different but I really enjoyed it as well, but Cow bell and hi hat are damn good. Bourbon House and Luke are probably two of my favorite in the whole area.
Flemings is hands down the best value out of them all though.

Figured this was on par with the Johnnys discussion?

Still haven't tries BooKoo.

Went the other day and it was crap. Much worse than the first time I went, so bland. The much-lauded Smith style sauce or whatever was nothing more than a smear of what looked like mayo on the bun, and the taste was imperceptible. Didn't help that the meat had already broken into thirds before I even took a bite

Curbsides pop up in old Metry wasn't the same quality from when I ate it in the truck in their first months opening. Still good, but not the best.

While BR lacks the volume of burgers, Cutbside trumps anything in Nola.

Cowbell

not the best burger in Nola. That'll go to either Company or High Hat.

and the only burger joint I've eaten at in BR was Cheeburger Cheeburger, so I'll step out of this argument now.

Would you say Fat Cow is better than Burgersmith?

I don't fully know what makes good burger at place A better than the good burger at B. burgers are a lot like BBQ classifications to me in that everyone can do it well for the most part.

Why offensive? People feel the need to make every comparison a pissing match. IMO I can find a burger just as good as any burger in NOLA as I can in BR, but of course NOLA trumps in volume. It would be a shame not to.

Curbside is really the only Baton Rouge burger I loved. Chelseas (and I love the place) was pretty good, Mason's was alright - nothing great. Raul's had me hugging porcelain for a day or so. Maybe I'm not going to the right spots?

You forgot Beachcorner on that list.

Only burger in BR I've had that was any good was curbside and I think that place is over hyped.
