In Virginia it's right on the ticket. Can't you go online and look at the ticket to see the fine and fees?

He just wrote it on a piece of paper. Nothing on the back and just said to call. I guess I just have to wait it out.

You got a speeding ticket written on a piece of paper? Where the frick do you live that a cop would do that?

No offense intended to you.

All I found

Louisiana traffic ticket fines vary by violation and by court?and they’re not printed on your actual citation.

You must contact your court for the fine amount

I got a similar ticket on the interstate in New Albany, MS and it put me pack $181 for being 23mph over. That was in 2009.

I was surprised it was on a piece of paper. In Texas where I live the troopers have hand held printers that give detailed information unlike the one I received.

In Virginia 21 over is an automatic reckless driving charge and he'd have to go to court to defend a criminal misdemeanor charge instead of a simple moving violation. Which is kinda crappy on many roads and conditions.

$127.00. If it was a BR city officer. All speeding tickets are the same amount regardless of speed for BR city court.

If it was a trooper or Deputy it will be more.

Same here in AL. Anything 20mph over speed limit or any speed over 80MPH regardless of speed limit is considered reckless driving.

Mine was $160 last year. Just email the DA and tell them you want to explore your options of getting it reduced while avoiding court. If you haven't had a ticket in a few years, you can do an online test that takes 5 minutes. It removes the ticket from your record and you only pay $ 125 instead of the $160
