(Also posted in OT)

This is an urgent request to dog lovers out there or anyone thinking about getting a dog. There is a beautiful Bluetick Coonhound at the parish shelter right now named Jolene that is in desperate need of saving. She is between 5-7 years old (middle-age!)and has been at the shelter for quite a while. She was in foster care but was returned due to issues with cats and small dogs. She was obviously bred for hunting and seems like she has had training. She is an amazing, wonderful dog who deserves a second chance at life. If you can foster or adopt or know anyone interested, please post on here. It may be her last chance.

Jolene

Fwiw, that's actually an English coonhound, but she is the bluetick color. Not being a smartass just trying to help. It should be a decent dog, with some work.

No problem. I hunted with English dogs for a few years and they're some really nice dogs

I really hope someone can rescue this dog...I've had dogs all my life, have 1 now, and he is a family member.

They make good blood tracking dogs as well. I goto a yard full so no I'm not taking her.
