After watching Broken Flowers and Coffee and Cigarettes, I decided to check out the Jim Jarmusch joint Ghost Dog on netflix.

Anyone dig this film as much as me? My favorite Forrest Whitaker performance. This shite got me listening to Wu- Tang again.

Emptiness is a form

Jarmusch is as versatile as it gets.

awesome. Cooler if you've read Hagakure.

I actually pulled it up and read a couple of chapters after the film.

Great movie. I've been pimping it here since I've been a member.

Yeah, I read it too after the movie.

The movie is frankly cool as shite.

I love how all the Wops watch cartoons.

Tried watching it again recently. Didn't stand up to the first couple of viewings unfortunately.

A "friend" stole my DVD five or six years ago. I watched it on Netflix last year and thought it was still really good.

I love the verses from the Hagakure, Whitiker's character, the gangsters, the car CD players (cutting edge in 99) and of course, the music.

So many wonderful minor characters. Gary Farmer's uncredited, "Stupid f'ing white man" kind of completes the philosophical circle.

I think he was playing the same character from Dead Man. Seems like Jarmusch was just throwing him in as an easter egg for his fans. Dead Man is also great if you haven't seen it.
