Rapinoe lost UCL final.

First American to be in UCL final = Neven Subotic. FML.

According to Brian Sciaretta, Subotic was only gonna be a Serb when it came to national team play. I didn't follow soccer back then though so I don't really have an opinion on it except if you think a player is that good, then I would not exclude him from a youth team even if he isn't in the "form" you would want him to be in.

Would love to see Jozy in the EPL.

Me too. But not a good match with the Spurs. Would mean an overabundance of North Americans. And, assuming Bale is going going gone, pretty much an imposssible act to follow.

Villa would be crazy to let Benteke get away.

Well there have been a ton of rumors of him wanting out so they'll probably want their payday if they can get 15-20

Just noticed that Klose is one goal away from tying the most goals scored by a German on the Natl Team. History could be made in DC for the Germans. They play Ecuador first, though.

Playing largely in right central midfield, Bradley ranked third on Roma with 1,219 passes completed, and he did so at an impressive 87.8 percent clip. Among 44 Serie A midfielders who completed at least 1,000 passes, Bradley’s completion percentage ranked third, trailing only Napoli’s Valon Behrami and Inter’s Javier Zanetti.

Playing primarily at right back for Stoke City, Geoff Cameron proved to be one of the most active players in the Premier League. He led Stoke with 89 tackles and 72 passes intercepted, while ranking only eighth on the team in fouls committed. Cameron was one of three Premier League players with at least 70 tackles, 70 interceptions and 50 clearances, along with Belgian Jan Vertonghen and Aston Villa’s Matthew Lowton.

In his first season with Tottenham, Clint Dempsey saw his minutes cut by 40 percent from the previous season with Fulham. His productivity dipped marginally, from 0.4 goals per 90 minutes to 0.3, and his shots dropped from 3.7 per 90 minutes to 3.0. He was pushed to the wings more with Spurs: 61 percent of his touches for Tottenham were on the outer thirds of the field, compared to 44 percent with Fulham. Dempsey also fired more often from distance, taking 61 percent of his shots from outside the box, up from 42 percent last season. That resulted in an average shot distance of 22 yards, three yards longer than his final season at Craven Cottage.

- ESPN on Dempsey.

Appreciate those quotes from the article.
I think Deuce will be more comfortable next year at Tottenham.
No question on how indispensable Michael Bradley is to the team.. The dude is our Xavi.

Hopefully this guy is wrong...

All of the current talk – factual or not – may be for naught because AZ technical director Earnie Stewart has gone on record as saying they plan to have Altidore back at AFAS-Stadion next season.

I like the success Jozy has had there but I would like to see if his skills and progress translate well to a better league.
