Did anyone see Mo play last night. They ran at the bottom of the screen he was making his NFL debut. If you watched, how did he do?

I tried to watch but seeing all those Stars on the helmet made me keep looking away.

He did well. Guys in the booth felt he was doing a good job staying on his man. Was thrown at just twice, I think, in the game (1st half). Overall, a good outing.

From the Cowboys website:

quote:

The No. 6 overall pick was only targeted twice during his first half of work, once on a bubble screen when he was playing in off coverage, and later on a short comeback route.

In both instances, he quickly made the tackle, surrendering a grand total of 13 yards.

“I thought they were going to come at me every snap,” Claiborne said. “But I just tried to go out and play as honest as I could, not jump on any crazy route, just stay on top of everything, try not to let anything behind me. If you were going to catch something in front of me, I was going to give it to you, I’d just come down and make the tackle, but getting beat over the top, that’s how you lose.”

Claiborne’s Preseason Debut Mostly Quiet, But Still Important

What I saw as well.

He made a clean tackle on the one completion. There were a couple of times when his man was option one and Rivers checked away from him. I thought that was a good sign. He looked like he belonged out there for sure.

Carr looked very good opposite of him and if he continues to play well Mo will get tested.

I don't know about the one that lead to the int., but Taylor definitely had a near pick that the refs then called "hands to the face on." It was a BS call and everyone knew it. He and the WR were both extending their arms for the ball, Taylor's hit the ball first, then the WR's facemask and a flag quickly followed.

As much as I dislike the Cowboys, they do think very highly of LSU players.
