And he is going through the most basic American history that you can imagine promoting his book.
Do people really not know this stuff? Do people not know that Germans bombed hell out of the British in World War II and that Churchill liked to drink and smoke cigars?

According to a recent Gallup/Harris poll, a full 37 % of American citizens are incapable of identifying their home country on a map of the United States.
Of the 1,400 residents surveyed, the most common incorrect responses placed the more than 230-year-old territory in the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans (19 percent), the space where Mexico would appear were it in fact included on the map (10 percent), and inside the word "America" written just above the northernmost states (6 percent).

Considering the other day I saw where people were questioning how something could have happened 3,000 years ago when it is only 2012 now, I really have to believe history is, well, a thing of the past.
