I know this requires one to step out of the present and into the dark ages.

I hear lots of bad games and blowouts in bad weather...but how come the 1999 game against Kentucky is rarely mentioned?

We got absolutely crushed by a non-power team.

Uh...yeah...your point? Losing 31-5 to Kentucky is embarassing. What about this thread don't you understand? Do you have to be a good team to have an embarassing loss?

This one and Miami, OH...and Bama in 2002 get alot of mention. I just threw out Kentucky because it wasn't a household name, a la UAB or Miami.

UAB can't count. It was part of "The Process."

It definitely helps.

Most embarrassing losses during my tenure are UAB and '96 Bama...first and only time I ever painted my face.

Sting? yes. Embarrassing? not at all.

This one, easily. That LSU team finished the regular season 9-2, with the only other regular season loss being Ole Miss.

For a while it looked like Troy 08 was going to make this list

But the winner (aside from 1.9.12) is UAB. Geez. At home. Enough said.

Laying an egg versus your most hated rival in the national championship game has to be the right answer
