Morning All,

I'll be in Houston this weekend, and I'm simply trying to find a decent casual place to eat that also serves a very good frozen Bellini.

If there's a place fairly close to downtown, that would be even better.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I don't have any recommendations for a bellini....try Grotto or Benjy's or some place where ladies lunch.

If you want an interesting cocktail go to Anvil. Get a Whistle Stop.

Wish I had the time.

What I mean is - Ciros, for instance, serves the frozen ones. Is the restaurant a decent place to eat?

Ciro's

The best one I have ever had is at the Italian Restaurant in Downtown Disney but that is no where close to Houston.

Carrabba's on Kirby. still privately owned by the Carrabba's family. Not franchised. Menu totally different. Ask for the Shrimp O'ceale as an appetizer it's off menu

Ciro's has very good Italian food...homemade pastas, sauces, etc. I've never had their Bellinis. I would think you could find what you're looking for much closer to downtown. Carrabba's on Kirby would be closer. Maybe Vincent's/Nino's on W. Dallas?

Looks like I'm staying just off the T.C. Jester exit, so Carrabba's on Kirby is about 5-6 miles away, so that's not so bad. I mean, I know it's always bad to drive around Houston, but it could be way worse.

you wont be sorry. If you have ever been to a Carrabba's, this is light years different. Much different vibe, more classy.
