No offense, but it's Arya. She's shown a pretty high level thus far of adapting.

She and Bran have been set up the entire series to be special and different. I get what you are saying, this is a FANTASY series. Bringing real expectations to dragons and people who can change their faces at a whim is just being too picky. Let's just let this all play out.

SPOILERS FOR YOU HODORS

I can't help but think the dwarf actor IS Tyrion. But how the frick would he get from Slaver's Bay to Braavos?

I WANT MORE AND IT'S ALL OF THE FAT MAN'S FAULT.

And Arya got to cross a name off HER LIST and she's STILL IN ESSOS.

Kind of went full on Peeeeeej there but oh well.

We don't know the timeline. Could be the last chapter in WoW, could be in the middle. We just don't know.

It's not Tyrion. The play is about Tyrion. The play is titled "The Bloody Hand". The Dwarf playing him is just in character. No way Tyrion would degrade himself that much. Plus Harys Swyft would instantly recognize him, and he was just sent by Kevan to treat with the Iron Bank.

And that's why that fat mofo loves to torture us. And he even had a food description in the chapter.

Arya is so great and we all love her . Chapters like this sample chapter are what show her greatness and her ability to think quick on her feet in intense situations.

Arya and Bran are both special compared to their other siblings, who all have their own talents. But, I do find it incredibly interesting that in the Vanity Fair article, Sansa has Littlefinger and Varys both standing directly behind her. Varys has his "little birds" and Sansa is a "Little Bird". There's no doubt in my mind that she's coming into her own; she may not have adaptability like Arya, greenseeing powers like Bran, ferociousness of Rickon, or be the 'savior' like Jon, but I just couldn't help but notice it.

Yep, but I wanted it to be him. Great read for sure.

rust me, it takes years to get to Arya's supposedly level of proficiency. I've lived in the middle of the god damn Mogolian plains doing chores, and it was still difficult for me to understand them, especially when it came to slang.

You were in China, which would be difficult as hell to learn. And you were much older than Arya.

Young kids can pick up languages much easier than adults, and depending on the language it doesn't take anywhere close to the time you are talking about to learn a language. I had a Spanish teacher in college who mainly became fluent by living in Spain for a 6 months after having classes in college.

A year would obviously be pushing it a bit, but a teenager could easily learn a latin based language in under two years if completely immersed in it like Arya is.

Definitely; Arya is 11 in the books at this point? Maybe 12 at oldest?? Her mind is like a sponge; it's definitely easier for kids to learn a foreign language than an adult. Plus she had to immerse her in the language; the Waif helped her learn too.

Did anyone else not know GRRM was a fricking Jets fan? Maybe that's why he takes forever to write.....he's just stewing about how bad the Jets are and what shitty moves they make in the offseason.

I read his blog during this past football season. . He doesn't write at all on weekends from September-January it seems.

He's a Jets and Giants fan actually. But yes, being a big NFL fan also takes away his writing time I'd imagine.

Good thing football season is over.

But now he's going to get sidetracked having the Spanish and English S4 premieres of episode 1 at his theater in Santa Fe soon.
