Rickon returns to Westeros via Davos but his recklessness does him in. Osha survives though
I don't think Rickon will die, because I believe all the Starks are gonna rip shite up after the turmoil the family's been through
Boltons and Freys all get killed haha. Oh maybe one of the Starks will take over the Twins

I think Rickon survives and Davos probably doesn't. I think Rickon & Sansa live until the end. Jon too if we count him. I think Bran won't ever leave where he's at and I think Arya may be Nissa Nissa or die in battle. I do think they will wreck shop in the next couple books.

I think Stannis ends up as hand of the King for Jon. It's the position he wanted originally in GOT before Ned took it and he gets in the end.

I just have a hard time seeing Stannis bending the knee to anyone now that he believes he's the rightful heir. It'd probably take something incredible for that to happen (a resurrection maybe) but I always thought Tyrion would be closer to being Jon's hand then Stannis.

When Jon shows up wrecking shite alot of people are gonna bend a knee. Tebow style

I think GRRM is building up that mutual respect for that to happen. Remember, Stannis hardest decision was going against the Targaryens in faovr of Robert. If Jon smashes some whitewalker host I can see Stannis bending the knee.

I worry about Melisandre's influence in that scenario. Is Stannis going to lose his shite when she figures out Jon is AA and essentially abandons Stannis? Real wild card there.

I think if Jon proves himself to be AA reborn then Stannis will bend the knee...
IF he is still alive at that point

I think after Stannis and Manderly win and wipe out the Boltons, Bran will prove who Jon is through the Winterfell tree.

I don't think Jon's ancestry as a Targaryen will matter at all to Stannis. He and his brother defeated The Targaryens they are no longer his King. He will bow to AA and no one else at this point.

I've always felt like Stannis is a better guy than people think. He fought Renly because he was younger. He almost died saving Dragonstone, and didn't get any credit. If he knows someones better/more worthy he'll kneel. I think he respected Jon even though he threatened him sometimes. I like Stannis he's just confused

I love Stannis. I think he is a great man but I don't think he kneels to Jon just because he is a Targaryen... Jon will have to absolutely be awe inspiring in Stannis's eyes for him to bend the knee. The only event that could bring about that magnitude of awe is for Jon to be reborn as AA.

I think Stannis's black and white interpretation of good and bad (as well as his very dry delivery) is what gets interpreted as him being a bad guy. That said, he's also stubborn as hell. And is still kind of pissed off that he he's been slighted in the past. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him. I think at the very least if he's willing to bend the knee he is on Jon's council (if there is a council if that comes to pass).

I don't know if Stannis really even cares about being on the council. I think he could be content with Storm's End, the land that he was promised from birth but was denied. I certainly don't think he will have to be hand to be satisfied.
Getting off subject a little bit but do yall think that Robert intended it as a slight against Stannis when he gave him Dragonstone?
I for one do not. Dragonstone had always historically been passed down to the next heir to the throne while Storm's End was the Baratheon family seat. Dragonstone was a higher honor in my opinion even if it wasn't the richest land. I feel that Stannis would've found a slight in anything Robert gave him.

I don't think it was a slight at all. For as much of a drunk bastard as he was, King Bob had a little bit of sense to him when it came to his rule. I think he had every intention of Stannis taking over should something happen to him and not Renly and that's why they were gifted that way.

Agreed. He always expected Stannis to rule should he die without heirs however he apparently didn't trust him to rule as regent since he chose Ned Stark for that role.

Well to be fair, I think he considered Ned a brother (or at least should have been in his eyes via Lyanna). And Ned wasn't giving up Winterfell.
I also think he saw Renly getting power hungry and knew that Ned would bend the knee to Stannis when it was all said and done. Maybe he thought if he threw Ned in with Stannis that it would make the transition easier. Especially since Ned made it really clear at the end he wanted no part of KL and the throne.

I don't think he thought that far into it.
He was closer to Ned than he was any of his brothers and trusted him more and thats as far as he got with it.
He didn't think about the pain he would cause Stannis and Renly with that decision, which Robert was want to do pretty frequently.

I think Robert knew his lifestyle would kill him eventually. I think he knew that athough he could trust Stannis in battle to lead, that he could never maintain the alliances necessary to rule a kingdom for very long. Stannis knows how to win battles, not how to keep kingdoms together. However, Robert knew that Ned and Stannis's reputation as honorable men combined with Stannis's tactical brilliance and Ned's ability as an administrator would lead to a more prosperous regime than Robert had any ability to run. Robert just wanted to drink, fight, hunt, and frick. He only became king because his fiance was stolen by another man. I could see Robert giving up the thrown for Stannis until his children were of age.

I think he thought Ned would be able to sort shite out and that he was a pretty well respected guy. He wanted someone who would be there in the flesh as regent until Stannis showed up.
I think he also knew the Lannisters were doing everything they could to kill him and naming Stannis while he wasn't in Kings Landing was a risk.
