So I was watching last night and when Varys goes into his backstory regarding his gash, I was quite pleased that they stuck with the intial story. So this morning in the shower a questioned popped in my head.
Why would a warlock/priest want a lowly mummer's junk to do some hoodoo?
The answer slapped me in the face pretty hard. To put it simply, there is power in king's blood or in this case king's junk.
Varys is most definitely a Blackfyre. The warlock/priest either used the fires or was informed by some source, but it is the only explanation that has even a shred of logic to it.

I think there was a chapter on that. I can't look it up at work since I would be using the word genitals in the search engine... I just don't see that being a good idea.
