this is probably all kinds of stupid, but i just started my re-read.. the prologue for GOT ends with Ser Waymer Royce killing Gared after being killed by the Others..
the last line in the prologue is 'they were gloved in the finest moleskin covered in blood, but the touch was icy cold'

Sam was scared and he killed one. Too bad Royce didn't have dragonglass.
Do you think the "awaken dragons from stone" could be referencing the forging of dragonglass? If anything its probably about the dragon eggs or Jon, but I thought this might be another possibility.

This makes me think that in the books Jeyne won't have his heir because I don't see a spy trying to keep a child of the guy who's in opposition to the throne and the house you are loyal to, unless this is an area where it deviates from the book.

If that crackpot theory winds up being true it really doesn't add any storylines, it just adds a different setup and motivation for certain parts. The end result would be exactly the same at the Red Wedding.
