say what now?

The fact that Brienne said "sword" is what led UnCat to release her and Podrick from the noose.

Don't have link on me, but Martin confirmed it was the word during a Q&A at SuperNerdicon 24211.

I'd forgotten I never knew what the exact word was, only that it meant she would honor UnCat and bring Jaime to her.

Totally misread your post. Your post was responding to Belle, who was talking with me about Sansa and Littlefinger.

I thought you had read and gotten confirmation about Littlefinger's fate

"I never win anything," Dolorous Edd complained. "The gods always smiled on Watt, though. When the wildlings knocked him off the Bridge of Skulls, somehow he landed in a nice deep pool of water. How lucky was that, missing all those rocks?"
"Was it a long fall?" Grenn wanted to know. "Did landing in the pool of water save his life?"
"No," said Dolorous Edd. "He was dead already, from that axe in his head. Still, it was pretty lucky, missing the rocks."

I still think she saves Jaime and sacrifices herself.

Brienne still has a card to play to save Jamie from UnCat.

Cat actually made a vow to Brienne that she would be released from her duty to Cat at any time in order to pursue Stannis.

Now that Brienne has Jamie, he would key to getting Brienne past the Twins an into the north.

I seriously doubt she will. I think she's too separated from Stannis at this point and I'd bet anything that Stannis dies in the North.

I want Stannis to die fighting the walkers or be Hand of the King for somebody. That was what he originally wanted with Robert in GOT.

Perhaps he could be both. If he comes to the conclusion that Jon Snow is the actual Azor Ahai reborn and also knows that Rhaegar is Jon's father, he could become his biggest supporter. I'm pretty sure Stannis will go down heroically to the White Walkers, perhaps saving Jon in his place. I don't think Stannis will make it to Book VII, and if he does, I think it will only be the first few chapters.

I'm pretty sure almost no matter how things end up, Tyrion will end up being the Hand of the King, with either Dany, Jon Snow, or Aegon.

Stannis' hardest decision was to support Robert over the Targaryens...

After finally reading the Tales of Dunk and Egg I am fully on board with the 3 eyed crow being Bloodraven and that he is evil.

Longer Weddings

also, why do people think the Purple Wedding happens in season four? That would be retarded as season four would lead off with Joffrey's death. It should lead off with Cersei's paranoia and Tyrion's trial taking place. In the books it happened right after the Red Wedding. Joffrey wanted to bring Robb's head out to Sansa but Tywin said no. It'd be the perfect balance for the RW to go down in episode 9, and the Purple Wedding and Battle at Castle Black to happen at episode 10.

Because the Red Viper I think would be present. I'd kill off Joffrey around Episode 4 of the 4th season, maybe base the entire episode around it.

he doesn't have to be. all he needs to be around for is the trial.

that timing just doesn't flow, IMO. the middle episodes are build up episodes. if that were the case you'd have joffrey die and the rest would be way to strung out.
