The avett brothers similar recommendations

I've been listening to the album I and love and you a lot lately. Besides their other albums can you recommend something similar? Not a big Indy music fan but I really like this.

Five Finger Death Punch.

Yeah. I have them. Sometimes I get them and avett brothers confused.

Completely understandable. Especially in the early days of the Avetts.

Fleet Foxes, Decemberists, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Beirut, and Mumford and Sons immediately come to mind.
Check out "Blue Ridge Mountains" or "Mykonos" by Fleet Foxes, its pretty good stuff. Also "Down by the River" and "Don't Carry it all" by the Decemberists.

Hard to argue with that. I've really grown to like Fleet Foxes though. They're a little more "rainy day" than Avett Bros but I dig their sound. Edward Sharpe gets better every time I listen to them.

To be fair I haven't given them too much of a chance. I've liked what I've listened to but I haven't ventured any further than a couple songs.

I thought they were just "ok" until I saw them live, then they became an instant favorite.
I'm absolutely addicted to everything the Decemberists have ever done though

This is how I felt about Fleet Foxes till their headlining set at Pitchfork a few years ago. Amazing

Speaking of "Jam" I love The Decemberists' cover of the Grateful Dead's "Row Jimmy"

I once saw a man take off his shirt for 20 minutes then put it back on when it was 38 degrees at an outside YMSB show.
I should add that he did all of this while he was dancing and didn't stop even while taking the shirt off and putting it back on. It was impressive.
