thoughts on Nip Tuck?

Was helping somebody move out the other day and noticed they had all the Nip Tuck seasons on DVD and said she would let me borrow them. I've been watching Friday Night Lights and am halfway through the first season and it's just meh.
I remember in high school everybody was obsessed with NT. I heard its good but gets pretty fricking weird the deeper in you get. Also, i get grossed out with blood and shite pretty easily.
Is NT worth it?

Like every other Ryan Murphy show, it starts off kind of interesting then turns incredibly gay.

It's great the first few seasons. It does take a few turns in the later seasons but I still enjoyed it. A lot of the episodes are basically pron just zoomed out of focus

I'm not saying fnl is bad it's just all the high school drama bs is a little much. Also it's pretty predictable lose a game and they want the coaches head then win a game on some amazing play by either the qb, rb, or fb. Why the frick don't they have a defensive guy as one of the main characters? All they ever show is the offense and I'm more of a defensive guy. Maybe I should just give it more time. That Layla chick is smokin though and riggins is cool

Every single character becomes so despicable you almost root for the actors to be killed in a hideous plane crash just to end the damn show.

I've only watched 2 series it their entirity. Lost and Nip/Tuck. Both were absolutely fabulous, IMO.

I agree with every one else, the show writers just got to the point where they were trying to cross, double cross, and triple cross every character into being the most vile pieces of shite ever to walk planet Earth that it got utterly retarded, along with some other stuff that would go down.
Worth it for for 2, maybe 3 seasons.

Yeah Ryan Murphy started doing everything for the shock factor. And there was a lot of shock. But eventually you start saying what the frick and rolling your eyes. I just rewatched the first three seasons. After that it became way too ridiculous

Yep. It's basicially a soap opera after season 2 or 3. Could have been a good show too.

This. Not sure what season it was (4 maybe?) but the one with The Carver was probably my favorite.
