Paul Turner moving to db ?

Anybody else ok with the idea of Paul Turner cross training as a db or moving permanently ? With the nicks we have right now, losing TM7, Claiborne and Brooks to Graduation, Loston's being somewhat injury prone, I think it would be a great move by Miles. Turner was a dynamite safety in high school, he's buried on the depth chart at receiver, and he is one of the few smart enough to pick it up in a hurry. Guy carries a 4.0 GPA from what I recall.

It sounds like we're ok at safety. Can he play corner?

I believe they already moved another young Wideout to DB. I can't confirm or deny it as the roster has not been updated.

He played maybe 6-7 plays in high school at DB. That being said I think he should make the move for the depth and be a return specialist.

It may have just been part of a package. Writers have mentioned seeing RBs in the slot in some situations at practice.
ETA: Assuming you meant RB to WR and not wideout to WR.

My mistake earlier. Meant wideout to DB.
And not referring to the TM14 switch, either. I know who he is.
This guy playing corner today, I don't know for 100% certain who he is, but I have a pretty good idea. And if it is who I suspect, then don't worry about him getting beat over the top, he'll catch up to the wideout.

I'll go out on a limb here and just assume the player you are referring to went to Breaux Bridge ?

Turner and/or Fobbs should probably be tryed at CB. Both buried on WR depth chart and could remain that way. Might be in LSU's and their best interests to be given a look at CB.
