AT least they delivered what they said they would.
That's sick.

EXACTLY the way I thought and warned it would.

I absolutely hate this pick for Romney. Ryan doesn't help him win Ohio or Florida. It only helps him with the hardcore conservatives, who were going to vote for him anyway. In fact it most likely hurt him in Florida as seniors are deathly afraid of Ryan.

Romney should have picked Portman (though that would've meant two rich white guys ticket), or Rubio.

Rubio would be better than portman, but you do make fair points. Still don't think it was necessarily a terrible selection.

Ryan makes the campaign about issues and solutions. Anyone else, even Rubio, would have sustained more mindless bantering and PC distractions, and Romney would have floundered.

Liberalism is still mostly unpopular in this country, and making arguments about solutions boxes Obama into that camp, because that's all he's got.

Ryan gives Romney a fighting chance.

I agree with this. Ryan is the most prominent Pub rising star for a reason: he's had the guts to propose a budget that actually cuts the deficit. Pubs need to frame the deficit as the main issue and pound the fact that Obama still has no budget even after 3 + years in office. Younger voters in particular should have genuine concerns for their future with Obama's spend and kick the can down the road attitude. Taxing the "rich" isn't going to balance the books and might well further stagnate the economy.
