I went last year. As far as recommendations, the food section is added kiosks from other countries and honestly I say give it all a whirl. I ate so much food from the different kiosks I ended up sick. Each kiosk provides a taster portion if food, not really full meals.

Going to Disney that time of year is worth every penny. I hope to make it back next year. Oh and if you go October 1st, you will also be there for EPCOT's 30th birthday.

We went last Halloween for a week and it was cool. Lot of stuff to try obviously and most was really well done. We mainly drank a lot, beers, wine. But ate some too. For some reason I keep thinking some Indian kiosk food was really good.

You're going to love it. Just remember to pace yourself, especially if you consume alcoholic beverages as well. A few of my friends really missed out on some quality food because they were trashed and too full from beer to eat. It is nearly impossible to do both, so if you want to make the most out of it, plan for two separate days dedicated to alcohol and food. You will not be disappointed.

Oh and check these sites for the 2012 app. It makes picking what food you want to try so much easier. This is an article for the 2011 app to show you what it's like and a link to the 2012 app.

You really need to consider also purchasing tickets for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon after party even if you have no intention of running any of the events. It was one of my most memorable nights on Disney property with a high energy atmosphere. The food and wine kiosks were set up, several attractions were open late, and most of the park was opened until 3am. We stayed the entire time, was exhausted the next morning, but it was simply awesome.

Also, consider the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween night while you’re there. The Magic kingdom is awesome and the Haunted Mansion gets some special treatment and theming. I love visiting Disney this time of year, and it is by far my favorite (and I’ve visited during every major holiday). Now I’m getting jealous. If you have any specific questions, please ask.

Going for the LSU / Florida game. Having a hard time deciding on 2 days at the festival or 1 day visiting Magic Kingdom for the Halloween deal.
