And Miles is still good enough to get them there.

Is he perfect? No and anyone who constantly defends him, I ignore.

But he is good enough and so is this team.

I'm with ya. Still no doubt in my mind that we win a national title.

sure they're still a contender. just not the clear cut number 1 i thought they were coming into the season.

the road just got a lot tougher.

playing inexperienced db's can turn out to be pretty rough.

might have to count on mett to win some shootouts.

Still have high hopes. I felt TM7 was starting to put himself ahead of the team last year anyway, giving into the honey badger hype. Here's a chance to watch the other young bucks shine.

We better hope that we don't come across a very good passing offense with all the inexperience in the secondary

you gotta be kidding me? You think losing Mathieu is all of the sudden going to cause our defense to be involved in shootouts?

Call me crazy, but this might be a blessing in disguise. Other teams are going to have to adjust to a bigger/taller/stronger secondary.

Meh, like I've been saying - the loss of Claiborne is the cause of this, not TM7

we can still win the NC, but don't kid yourself.
Oregon, losing 6-3, TM causes a fumble and returns it for a TD to give us the lead. WVU, TM intercepts a pass, putting the ball on the 1 yard line to put us up 27-7 at the half. Kentucky TM has two forced fumbles, one that he scores a TD on. Arkansas, 92 yard punt return for TD that tied the game. On Arkansas' next series, he forces a fumble for the go ahead TD drive. Georgia, we can't get a first down, he runs a punt back for a TD, sets up another with a fumble recovery and a third with a big punt return.

We may have very well won some of those games. But, without them the momentum may never swing our way and we could have lost all of them.

He was the most important player on our team last year and single handily turned the game in our favor at least 3 times last year. He is going to be missed big freakin' time.

I agree with the Oregon swing in momentum and the Arkansas game as well. With TM7 we would have been in trouble against Arky and Georgia. With a legitimate passing game that will make the difference in teams that made LSU one dimensional and beatable.

Everyone needs to settle down, Matthieu was not our team, we don't live or die because of him. We're OK.
Besides, look how well we've done the last five years without a QB!

I have never seen just ONE player win a football game. This team is still loaded with NC caliber talent.

if we are forced to play a bunch of freshmen in the secondary it's possible...especially if something happens to reid or simon.

Now we will only win by two touchdowns instead of three.
