If the reason was due to failed Marijuana test. Some of these rules have to be representative of the times.

These days weed is not a taboo that it used to be and you can't render a punishment so severe to a 19 year old for doing this.

TM was always a instinctual player and probably a person too,it showed in the field.Thats what made him special.
Maybe thats what made him regard the rules with contempt.
Sometimes these Rules dont make any sense.I hope this kid picks up the pieces and moves on and goes to have a good career in whatever he does.He
will always be a tiger in my eyes.

I'm a proponent of marijuana legalization and usage in general and strongly disagree. He knew the rules and chose to break them. Apparently repeatedly.

It's not fair that once a player fails a drug (which are illegal) test 3 times (which is the rule at LSU), that he's kicked off the team?

Reevaluate your life.

It's fair if you know the rules going in and still break them multiple times.

I have no idea what happened, I'm just basing this on your assumption.

It sucks all around, that's for sure.

Take off your P and G glasses. The kid was a problem. If this was any other school, you would be blasting the ki8d.

This is about how I feel. It needs to be legalized period.

This is obviously not his first offense. He probably broke the rule many times this past semester.

While I agree with you sentiments about weed and all, fair does not come into play here. I work at a job that does not allow me to hit a bong everynight. I would love too but I would be fired. So it's a simple decision. Smoke weed and remain broke, don't smoke and take a sweet vacation every year.

You must be from the Gen Y generation. Nothing is ever anyone's fault. There was a rule, TM7 knew about the rule, TM7 broke the rule, consequences followed. Simple.

I do think it should be legalized too, but one thing that people don't think about is that companies/teams/schools can still not allow their employees/athletes/students to smoke

Which is why it doesn't matter if you think the law is stupid, he broke the rules

Have you ever played organized team sports? There are rules to be followed. Violating the rules a coach, organization, or governing body sets forth are punishable. You're as ignorant as TM7, apparently.
