I go all the time and 2 years ago when Saints played a preseason game here I was 3 rows up behind the Saints bench being a purposefully belligerence fan. It was a really fun time, the Pats fans are all good, mellow people, and don't get worked up over a preseason game. I say go out there and make the best of it. I'm not going b/c I have a new kid at home.

Will probably have some Saints fans at CBS Scene which is a good place to pregame.

Have fun! I'm still mad I'm missing it.

Patriots fans that already existed in the Northeast aren't actually that bad. Like the Red Sox fans, its the douchebags that bought the shiny new hats when they started winning that really bring the fan base down.

We attended the Saints at the Patriots during the Katrina football season. Their fans are awesome. They rolled out the red carpet for us. My husband and I were the only Saints fans that we saw anywhere and I made it up on their big screen when I was dancing. We will definitely go back for the next time we play a regular season game there.

Side note: I also attended the Saints at the Giants in the Meadowlands with a girlfriend. Had to show them how to tailgate and they were cool outside of their stadium but during the game, they were complete and total trashbag idiots. They were beating our asses from pretty much the botched kick off to us and acted like they were losing and of course, started with "you should have drowned in Katrina", etc.

On a semi-related note... for fans in markets that aren't their favorite teams areas - has anyone used the nfl.com pre-season viewer for 20$?

I thought about getting that because I'm interested in seeing:
A) How my birds are
B) How the saints are (although I can see that on tv here)
C) How's Peyton's embryo infused neck
D) Other pre-season games for fun

Anyone have any thoughts on this or other recommendations?

I agree with all of these. The places you really don't want to be a visiting fan are Philly, NY, and Pittsburgh. The fans there are just ravenous. I really don't like having drinks thrown at me just walking into the stadium.

The majority of Pats fans are good people who know very little about football. You'll get trouble from the 20-somethings townies with their dumb heavy accents, but that's a similar occurrence in every stadium.

Ok great. Am I the only Saints fan going tonight? I am excited. My son is wearing his Patriots hat. His cousins brainwashed him. My wife is wearing Saints gear. Looking forward to the game. Is the Patriots fan zone the best place to park?

not sure exactly where the fan zone is. There is tons of parking and for a Thursday night preseason game the lot won't be full. Just don't park in any of the paid grass parking lots on the way, not needed for preseason.

If you're going from Boston down Rt. 1 you'll see the stadium on your left. I usually park across the street on the right in (I think) Lot 52. It should be pretty empty plus at the end of games that lot has 2 lanes leaving while the main lots only have 1 lane.

I am coming from carver area near Plymouth. Where would this lot be and how much do they charge? Is it a long walk?
