You didn't learn anything from that video, did you?
Nope, because I already know not to drive away when a cop is writing me a ticket.

Sure didn't do anything to prevent himself from getting his foot run over.
You think he gives a frick? Why are you even arguing this? This isn't the point of this thread or video.

Nope, never trolled a thread

Just think he should, and could have moved out of the way of someone who was clearly driving at him at .0005mph. Yes, the guy was wrong for running over his foot, but he could have easily prevented that, and chose not to. People don't have to stop for cops, they can keep going. We see this all of the time in police chases. It was his choice to either stay in front of the car or move

The guy was a douche for moving forward, but notice the cop then positioning himself with foot in front of tire to entice the man into "assault and battery on a police officer with a deadly weapon." Nice. Your video could be evidence for both sides. The cop was limping later because he saw camera I would imagine.

Police chases are illegal dumbass, they end in people getting arrested. It isn't legal to just drive away from a cop

And we just think that he SHOULD, and COULD have not tried to drive away while a police officer is standing in front of his car.

Yeah the driver could have chosen not to purposefully run over a police officer. This is seriously how simple it is...which makes even scarier that y ou are not getting it.

Huh?

The cop moved in the direct path of the tire before the car started moving. Not sure how this is that hard to miss.

Not true...watch again...watch the leg and foot after car first is moving. The foot was not "run over."

Seriously?

What video are you watching?

The guy shuffles in front of the car right before it starts moving.

There is literally a 2 second period in between when the cop moves in front of the tire and when the car starts moving.

He should also have been ticketed for wearing green cut off jolts and Napoleon dynamite moon boots.

Not true...watch again! He moves his foot/leg a couple times, to make sure it is in front of tire. He carefully positions it. He should be pissed the guy is moving the car, but sets up the potential battery charge. Bottom line, if a cop is writing you up, don't move the car.

The legality of it has absolutely zero to do with the fact that someone can keep going if they want to. Doesn't matter if they get arrested or not, it actually doesn't matter at all. They can still drive away if they want. I am not sure if in police school they teach to stand in front of cars, but if they do, that is the wrong way to stop a car
quote:

Again, I am not trying to argue if what the guy did was right or wrong, just that the cop could have moved out of the way, and chose not to. Ferrari guy's fault for running into him, his fault he didn't move out of the way, leading to his foot getting run over

Shit, I feel like a broken record. If you would not move out of a car that is coming at you, then you are a flat out idiot. You all said you would move out of the way. I said I would move out of the way. He didn't see it that way. See the car moving, move out of the way, pretty easy.

ETA: The guy tried to drive around the cop. The cop then moved closer to the car, leaning on it, and if you look closely, stuck his feet under the car

Do you seriously find the need to tell us someone can break the law if they want to? What the frick is the point of that position? Everyone knows this. This is the dumbest position I have ever seen anyone take in a TD debate.

If you would not move out of a car that is coming at you, then you are a flat out idiot.
The bigger idiot is the guy that hits the cop with his car.

You all said you would move out of the way.
No we didn't.

He wanted to move in the way, to set up the battery and arrest that rich cocksucker. His foot did not actually get run over, but there will be a tire scuff on his shoe. The cop wouldn't actually let his foot get run over...which is why he pulled it back twice and kept carefully repositioning it. Then limping for the camera. The guy will plead down to "failure to obey and officer."

Yup, that means they don't have to stop if they don't want to. I can figure that out.
